So Subtle, Yet so Festive!

Blogger Santoshi Shetty prefers subtle sophistication for the festive season. A charming white anarkali with mirror work detailing, is paired with a quirky fish print palazzos in royal blue. The whole offset by comfortable flats. The best part about such silhouettes which speak of easy elegance is that you may accessorise with chunky, eye-catching jewellery. Take cues from this style influencer's sartorial inclinations, and create your own ensembles from Max Fashion’s Festive Line. As Santoshi points out, the USP of the festive collection is its versatility. For instance, any kurta picked from the season’s collection is eye-catching by itself and lends itself to different ensembles…

I am a huge sucker for rich colours and minimalistic prints or embellishments. This Diwali season is actually the best time of the year to truly get to know your taste. For example: Do you like bold, vibrant prints or subtle shades of cream and beige with rich textures? Do you like Western silhouettes with Indian detailing or pure ethnic…? The kind of variety available to us, be it online or in stores, helps but can get to be overwhelming. It can make you feel dizzy! So maybe you want to take some clues from what I write here.

To celebrate the Diwali season, I decided to put together an outfit from Max Fashion using their festive fusion line. The best part about this collection is the versatility; it allows for experimentation, for plenty of mix and match possibilities. I found I could pick any kurta I fancied, and pair it with completely different leggings or a palazzo - to change things a bit and not stick to the conventional separates.

I chose a festive anarkali which is quite subtle and can be easily worn for a festive lunch. I especially loved the mirror work detailing on the anarkali that defines the quintessential ‘classy’ look. Versatility indeed does a lot for a piece - this one can serve multiple occasions. I then picked out the quirky fish print palazzos in royal blue instead of leggings. You may even wear denims with the anarkali for an Indo-Western look. I adore the combination of cream and rich blue! It makes the outfit classy and still keeps it incredibly subtle. The palazzos have some intricate gold embellishments on it which go well with the anarkali, and completes the outfit.

TAKE IT UP SEVERAL NOTCHES…

All you have to do to take this to the next level is to put on some chunky jewellery and
you are good to go! Add jhumkas, a choker or chunky rings. Sky blue mojitos are the final touch. Festive is all about having fun, playing around with fabrics and adding a pop of
colour to your outfit!

It was exciting to put together this look with Max Fashion!
